Bandsaw Mill

We have a Norwood HD36 bandsaw mill with auto feed and hydraulic setup, capable of milling slabs up to 700mm wide, 5 metres long. Max slab thickness is around 100mm.

Note that if we were to cut slabs out of a log 700mm wide, it would have to be straight as an arrow - any curves and we would have to trim the sides of the log with a chainsaw to make it fit.  

Bandsaw Milling is $190 per hour. This covers the mill operator and one labourer. 

Lucas Mill

Dimensional Constraints around the Lucas mill (Model 10-30)

With slabbing attachment 1.2m wide logs can be slabbed, max depth of slab is 160mm. 

Fees for Lucas Milling are $190 per hour plus GST. This covers the mill operator plus one labourer. 

Nail Fee
For both mills, if nails or metal are embedded in the timber, and we happen to hit one, a fee of $200 applies to cover a new bandsaw blade or the same for re-welding teeth onto the Lucas mill blade.

 

Loader 

We are able to provide an excavator or loader on site, with operator, for an additional $60/hour including GST. The cost of transporting this will need to be covered and has to be quoted per job. 

Preference is to work with trees that have already been felled.
